Fleur is the Executive Officer of the Queensland Independent Schools Parents' Council, and has been involved with the Australian Parents' Council since 2006.

Fleur has a particular interest in student wellbeing and times of transition. She currently chairs within APC both the Student and Family Wellbeing and Early Childhood Communities of Interest and Knowledge.

She has always been an active participant in her son's schools, serving in various roles from classroom helper to school board member.
