APC Board Member Bhavika Unnadkat was grateful for the opportunity to represent the parent voice on behalf of Australian Parents Council in these vital conversations shaping the future of learning.

๐Ÿ’ก The day was filled with rich discussions on the responsible, equitable, and effective implementation of AI in schoolsโ€”from classroom tools and assessment innovations to the ethical considerations we must not ignore.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ She was honoured to join the panel on โ€œFuture-Proofing Education with AIโ€, along with Lee Barrett and Jonathan Adams where they unpacked how AI can support โ€” not substitute โ€” the human relationships at the core of education.ย  As a parent, she shared insights on the importance of:

  • Transparency around how AI tools are used in classrooms
  • The need for co-design with students, families, and teachers
  • Ensuring no student is left behind in the digital shift.

๐Ÿ”„ The message was clear: AI must amplify equity, not widen gaps.ย  It must serve learning, not surveillance.ย  And it must be co-created with communities, not imposed on them.

๐Ÿ™Œ Huge thanks to the organizers (Vanessa Arnaoutis and Team) for bringing together such a diverse and passionate group of educators, researchers, policymakers, and advocates.ย  The future of education is being written now โ€” and Bhavika was extremely proud to be part of the conversation.
