Australian Parents Council were honoured to participate in a public hearing last year, to provide evidence relating to the Therapeutic Goods and Other Legislation Amendment (Vaping Reforms) Bill 2024.

Jenny Branch-Allen, President of APC, took part, amongst other esteemed colleagues, at a Senate Inquiry on 2 May 2024, to discuss the harm vaping is causing to young people, and supported strong measures to protect children from nicotine addiction and other harmful substances found when vaping.

The Australian Parents Council welcomed the minister’s announcement and the bill proposals from government for prohibiting the importation, distribution, advertisement, and disposal of vaping products. To read the full transcript of the hearing, please click here.
